For the school year 2022/23 we plan to offer the following classes:

​Kindergarten / Grade 1

​The Kindergarten class emphasizes comprehension and speaking skills, integrated with play, music and crafts. This class is designed for children with little exposure to German outside the classroom as well as German-speaking children.

Grade 1 / Grade 2 

Designed for children with basic literacy in English, this beginners level emphasizes listening and speaking skills. Students are introduced to reading and writing in German. Children must have some previous exposure to the German language. 

Grade 3 / Grade 4 

Building on German learned in the previous courses, This class instructs students in correct spelling and grammar, further developing German reading and writing skills. Children must have previous exposure to the German language. Instruction is mostly in German.

Grade 5 / Grade 6 ​

Building on German learned in the previous courses, this class focuses on correct spelling and grammar, further developing German reading and writing skills. Children must have previous exposure to the German language. Instruction is in German.

Grade 7 / Grade 8

This class has already mastered the A1 Exam and is now heading to the A2 level.

Registration Details

All K-12 classes take place on every Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 
Westgate Mennonite Collegiate, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Classrooms are in the upper level. Free parking is available.
