Beginner Classes
Beginner German 1 for Adults
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn how to speak German (e.g. to communicate with family and friends, travel to Germany or support raising your children bilingually). Course Content The course has a strong focus on spoken German – practicing basic expressions of everyday language and listening comprehension. Grammar and writing are addressed as needed for clarification. German culture and customs are also integrated into the course. Textbook: TBA |

Beginner German 2 for Adults
This course is designed for Adults with some basic knowledge of German. It is oriented toward improving conversational skills to prepare you for real situations such as travel in Germany, communicate with family or clients or to support raising your children bilingually. Intermediate Classes
Intermediate German 3 for Adults
This course is designed for students who have a solid background and wish to develop more fluency and confidence in spoken communication, improve their knowledge of German grammar and expand their vocabulary. Entry Requirements Solid Knowledge of German / German 2. Textbook: TBA |

Intermediate German 4 for Adults
This course is designed for students who have a very solid background and wish to develop more fluency and confidence in spoken communication. Most of the German grammar will be covered and reviewed in this course, vocabulary expanded. Entry Requirements Solid Knowledge of German / German 3. Textbook: TBA |
Advanced Classes
Advanced German Conversation and Literature
This course aims at further developing conversation and reading comprehension skills. The main focus will be on expanding vocabulary and refining oral and written expression. Knowledge of most of German grammar will be assumed, but many key grammatical topics (use of the subjonctive and preposition, tenses, etc.) will be reviewed.
The course will be organized thematically, with readings on German literature and culture. While covering various topics the goal will be to acquire the skills necessary for comprehending and competently discussing about themes and aspects of contemporary German culture and life.

No textbook will be used, an additional fee for copies may apply.

Cornish Library (20 West Gate) -Tuesday from 6-8pm, or Henderson Library - Mondays from 6-8pm.

300$ per Term There are additional costs of 70$ for the textbook. Textbooks are available during the first class - please bring an additional cheque. Refund Policy Requests for refund will be processed up to 7 days after the first class. No refunds after that. A 25$ administration fee will be charged. |
